Law by Fakhry brings two complementary practices under one name: corporate and transactional work (corporate and company law, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, arbitration and construction disputes) alongside a litigation practice covering civil, criminal and commercial matters before the Egyptian courts.

The Founders

Ahmed Ashraf Fakhry

Founder · Attorney-at-Law

Ahmed Ashraf Fakhry founded Law by Fakhry and leads the firm’s corporate and commercial practice. He advises companies on corporate and company law, mergers and acquisitions, legal due diligence, commercial arbitration and construction disputes, with cross-border work spanning Egyptian, Saudi and UK jurisdictions.

He holds an LL.B. from the Faculty of Law (English Section), Cairo University, and is an LL.M. candidate in International Legal and Commercial Transactions and Logistics. He is a member of the Egyptian Bar Association and practises in Arabic, English and French.

His work is built on careful research and stated reasoning, and delivered in documents written to be as clear and well presented as they are technically sound.

Major General Dr. Ashraf Fakhry

Co-Founder · Legal Consultant

Major General Dr. Ashraf Fakhry is co-founder of Law by Fakhry and leads the firm’s litigation practice. He brings more than four decades of legal and investigative experience to civil, criminal and commercial proceedings before the Egyptian courts.

He holds a doctorate in sports law and acts in mediation and arbitration, including sports arbitration and disputes involving clubs, federations and sporting bodies. Alongside his contentious practice he advises individuals, companies and institutions on civil and criminal exposure.

Sara Fakhry

Co-Founder · Legal Consultant

Sara Fakhry is co-founder of Law by Fakhry and advises on construction and engineering matters, with a particular focus on FIDIC forms of contract. She works with employers, contractors and consultants on the contractual questions that arise across the life of a project, from drafting and negotiation through to claims and dispute avoidance.

She holds a Master II from the Sorbonne and is a doctoral researcher, writing on artificial intelligence and its impact on companies. She previously served with the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood, and teaches and trains law students alongside her practice.

About the Firm

Law by Fakhry was founded by Ahmed Ashraf Fakhry and is built on a deliberate pairing: a corporate and transactional practice on one side, and a litigation practice with decades of courtroom experience on the other. Most matters need both, a transaction structured soundly and a clear view of what happens if it is ever tested. The firm is set up to give clients both from the same place.

We advise on corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence and arbitration under Egyptian law, with comparative experience across Saudi and UK jurisdictions, and we act in civil, criminal and commercial litigation before the Egyptian courts. The practice pairs technical legal rigour with a practical, commercial sensibility: clients come to us when they need an answer they can rely on and a document that will hold up under scrutiny.

The firm works in Arabic, English and French, and produces legal opinions, memoranda and advisory deliverables written to be as clear and well presented as they are technically sound.

Law by Fakhry is a firm, but a deliberately small one. Clients deal directly with the founders.
